About us

Friendship, Companionship, Fun, and Food

The Masontown Senior Center is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Grab and go meals are still available to individuals aged 60 and older and their spouses.  The suggested donation is $2.00 per meal with the actual cost per meal being $5.96.  However, if you are under age 60, you are welcome to receive a meal with the suggested donation of $6.00.  All are welcome at our Center.

The Masontown Senior Center is responsible for delivering at least 200 meals daily through our Home Delivered Meals program (Meals on Wheels) to our homebound in the Albert Gallatin Area School District.   In this capacity, we are required to not only deliver the meals safely and consistently, but to ensure the safety of our homebound consumers.  Should someone not respond when the driver delivers the meal, we are obligated to make sure the consumer is safe.  We do this by first calling the consumer and then on to their emergency contact.  Not only do we provide a nutritious meal, but we also provide human contact and ensure their safety.

Additionally, the Masontown Senior Center provides grab and go meals to our Point Marion Satellite Center on Tuesdays from 11:00 am to 11:30 am for pick up at the American Legion parking lot in Point Marion.   The Smithfield Senior Center Satellite Center also provides grab and go meals on Thursdays from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.  Simply call the Masontown Senior Center the day before for Point Marion meals or call the Smithfield Center (724-564-2934) to order meals.  Stay in your car and we bring the meals to you!

Our fundraising is what sustains us here at the Masontown Senior Center.  Unfortunately, we are unable to achieve our fundraising goals at this time.  Please consider donating to us.  Visit our Donate Page for more details.  We are a registered 501(c)(3) charity and 100% of your donation remains here at the Masontown Senior Center.  Thank you!
